Sustainability Through Innovative Technology
One of the initial attempts to express human impact on the environment mathematically was developed in the 1970s and named the IPAT formula. This formulation attempts to explain human consumption in terms of three components: population numbers, levels of consumption (which is termed "affluence"), and impact per unit of resource use (which is termed "technology"). The equation is expressed as follows:
Every year, millions of gallons of industrial fluids are wasted. Filmax has the technology to help control this affluence by recycling. With the world's population on a constant rise, the sustainability of precious resources is more important than ever. Filtering contaminants out of oils and fluids and using them to their fullest potential greatly decreases their adverse environmental impact. Together, we can make a brighter, cleaner future and keep contaminating fluids out of the equation.
